Coalition

Currently, the Partnership for Community Action works primarily within the geographical area of the unincorporated areas of Bernalillo County and the City of Albuquerque, but is expanding some if its coalition building efforts around the state. The Partnership currently facilitates two active coalitions in Bernalillo County that serve the English and Spanish-speaking community.

The Partnership is an active member of several neighborhood associations, community-based coalitions, and civic groups. The Partnership also works with community members to improve the public educational system by encouraging involvement in schools, creating and supporting after-school learning enrichment programs and initiating system-wide changes through legislative initiatives and active participation in school reform.

There are approximately 50 active organizations, neighborhood groups and agencies with The Partnership for Community Action coalition.

Coalition members participate on many different levels developing neighborhood-based initiatives, creating and implementing action plans, implementing youth-based initiatives, conducting joint research projects and participating in several sub-committees - just to name a few levels of involvement.
