Initiatives
The Partnership works across New Mexico to achieve political and economic self-determination by using historically-proven community organizing and coalition building models.
Access to a quality education, living-wage jobs and healthy organized communities is at the core of our mission. Civic Engagement is an essential part of PCA’s mission and drives all initiatives and activities.
Community Conferencing
This pilot-project is designed to address the alienation, damage, disrespect, and disempowerment communities feel when a crime is committed. Restorative Justice, the philosophy utilized in this project, recognizes the harm in a criminal act and how it violates individuals, families, and communities.
Juntos Podemos Coalicion Comunitaria
The overarching goal of the immigrant led Coalicion Comunitaria is to build a strong healthy community by engaging the Spanish-speaking immigrant community around the most pressing issues affecting their daily lives.
Mentoring Collaborative
The Albuquerque Mentoring Collaborative’s goals are to share information among mentorship organizations, increase the number of mentors in the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County area, and to decrease the waiting times for youth to be matched with mentors.
Communities for Education and Action (CEA)
The goal of CEA is to improve early childhood educational outcomes in the Downtown, South Valley and Southwest Mesa neighborhoods in Bernalillo County by supporting quality early childhood educational services and supporting community-based advocacy efforts through building upon the collective leadership, values, skills and culture of families in our communities.
Underage Drinking Prevention
The Partnership for Community Action Underage Drinking Committee (UAD) is a coalition of community leaders whose purpose is to prevent underage drinking by changing the social, legal and commercial environments in which alcohol is made available and/or desirable to young people.
