Be a Mentor: Albuquerque Mentoring Collatorative

Research shows that mentoring reduces substance abuse and violence while boosting educational achievement. A mentor helps build character, encourage success, boost confidence, lift expectations, and expand the universe of a child.

Through a combined venture between local organizations that work for advancement of youth, Partners for Community Action formed the Albuquerque Mentoring Collaborative.The goals of the Albuquerque Mentoring Collaborative are to share information among mentorship organizations, increase the number of mentors in the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County area, and to decrease the waiting times for youth to be matched with mentors.

Big Brother Big Sister

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico, Inc. (BBBS-CNM) fosters one-to-one mentoring relationships ("matches") between positive adult role models and at-risk children to help children achieve their full potential.
