Be A Mentor: Albuquerque Mentoring Collaborative

Research shows that mentoring promotes positive outcomes with youth, including increased academic performance, improved self-esteem and better careers while reducing school failure, the use and abuse of illegal substances and youth delinquency.

Through a combined venture between local organizations that work for advancement of youth, Albuquerque Partnership has formed the Albuquerque Mentoring Collaborative. The goals of the Albuquerque Mentoring Collaborative are to share information among mentorship organizations, increase the number of mentors in the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County area, and to decrease the waiting times for youth to be matched with mentors.
